Paul Beckett

Paul has a furniture restoration and furniture commission business with over 30 years of experience and a portfolio of beautiful furniture pieces, with satisfied customers throughout Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties.

Paul works on many restoration projects for modern and antique pieces, including French polishing, and bespoke commissions from contemporary to period pieces and Japanese inspired furniture.

As well as having private clients Paul has completed work for the Oxford University, Radcliffe Camera building and Bodleian Library in Oxford.

Paul trained at Rycotewood College in Thame as a furniture maker and antique restorer having previously being involved in wood carving and scuplting.

Paul is also recommended by many of the leading insurance companies who direct their customers to him in order to repair damage sustained to furniture during a fire or flood. A fee for all quotes is charged, which is then waived if Paul is instructed to proceed with the work.

The charge covers the cost of the visit and the time involved in preparing a report including valuations for items written off and photographs (a digital record is kept of all damaged items).

Examples of Paul's services can be seen in the Gallery and a recently completed project of a Painted Oak Bookcase with a Central Fire Hearth.
